Our Story

Bourbon Street Creole Kitchen & Bar, established in 2013 by the De Alwis family, is a father-and-sons venture that provides a warm and inviting destination for those seeking authentic Cajun-Creole cuisine, exceptional cocktails, and live music. The founders' rich culinary background contributes to the restaurant's unique charm and delectable offerings.

Mike, the father, attended college in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he honed his Cajun-Creole cooking skills by working in local restaurants throughout his studies. His oldest son, Jehan, pursued a prestigious culinary education at Le Cordon Bleu in London and further refined his expertise by working in Michelin-starred establishments. Meanwhile, the youngest son, Mikey, focuses on creating exquisite handcrafted cocktails, elevating the dining experience for all patrons.

Together, this talented trio brings the vibrant flavors and traditions of the South to life, offering guests an unforgettable gastronomic journey within a cozy, convivial atmosphere.
